Background

Klay Kubiak is in his fifth season with the 49ers and first as the team's offensive coordinator. He spent the 2024 season as San Francisco's offensive passing game specialist and served two seasons (2022-23) as the 49ers assistant quarterbacks coach after spending the 2021 season as a defensive quality control coach with the team. Kubiak joined the 49ers after spending the previous three years (2018-20) as the head coach at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory (Houston, TX). He also served as the school's offensive coordinator from 2013-15 and for the 2017 season.
