Background
Kevin Koger was named Atlanta Falcons tight ends coach on Feb. 2, 2024. In his first season he worked with Kyle Pitts, who recorded a single-season-high four touchdowns and 47 catches for 602 yards. Koger joined Atlanta after three seasons (2021-23) as tight ends coach for the Los Angeles Chargers, where he developed Donald Parham Jr. and Gerald Everett. He previously spent two seasons as an offensive quality control coach with the Packers (2019-20), helping develop Robert Tonyan, who led all NFL tight ends in touchdown catches in 2020. Koger played tight end at the University of Michigan, earning honorable mention All-Big Ten as a senior.
Scheme & Fantasy Angle
Koger coaches a tight end room headlined by Kyle Pitts, and his track record developing receiving tight ends like Gerald Everett and Robert Tonyan is relevant to Pitts' fantasy upside.
