Quick Facts
- Role: Head Coach
- Team: Las Vegas Raiders (LV)
- Current holder: Klint Kubiak (hired for 2026 season after winning Super Bowl as Seahawks OC)
- Coaching tree: Shanahan/Kubiak (offense); see Coaching Trees
Background
Klint Kubiak was the Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator for the 2025 season, capping it with a Super Bowl win over the Patriots. Son of Gary Kubiak, he comes from the Shanahan/zone-running coaching tree. He hired Andrew Janocko (former Seahawks QB coach, helped Sam Darnold's breakout year) as his OC and promoted Rob Leonard (run-game coordinator/DL coach) to defensive coordinator.
Scheme and Tendencies
Outside-zone running game, play-action passing, condensed splits. Expect a heavy run identity with under-center looks.
2026 Outlook
Kubiak’s Raiders debut comes on the heels of winning the Super Bowl as Seahawks OC—an impressive credential that suggests offensive continuity and proven big-game execution. The Raiders’ outside-zone running system and play-action looks should establish an identity quickly. Expect heavy usage of running backs in both traditional and sub-package roles.
