Background
Graves enters his fifth season with the 49ers, and first as the team's run game coordinator, after spending the previous four seasons (2022-25) as the team's offensive assistant/quarterbacks coach (2025) and assistant offensive line coach (2022-24).
Prior to joining the 49ers, Graves spent six seasons (2016-21) coaching in the collegiate ranks. He spent one season (2021) as the special teams coordinator/tight ends coach for Georgia Southern University and three seasons (2018-20) at the University of Louisiana-Monroe serving as running backs coach (2019-20) and a graduate assistant (2018). Graves began his coaching career as a running backs coach at Southeastern Louisiana University (2016-17).
