Based on the wiki, there's no one direct replacement — the Texans are going with a committee. Here's the pecking order:
- Nico Collins remains the clear WR1 (from the Texans page).
- Tank Dell gets elevated into a bigger role, but he's still recovering from a devastating multi-ligament knee injury that cost him all of 2025. He's making progress — running routes and cutting in OTAs — but the team has said they won't rush him (from the Tank Dell page).
- The WR3 spot is a competition between Jaylin Noel (who's expected to work the slot and handle return duties) and Xavier Hutchinson (from the Houston Texans team page). Noel was briefly on the NFI list in late July but returned to practice August 7, though he's also dealing with hamstring/pinky injury recovery (from the Jaylin Noel page).
The Texans haven't brought in any notable free agent or trade addition to plug the hole, so this is an internal competition. In deeper fantasy formats, Noel is the more interesting late-round flier — he's got a path to slot snaps and return-yardage value if your league scores that (from the Jaylin Noel page, rank 186). But neither guy is a priority add.
