It's absolutely good for fantasy — here's what went down.
In the Rams' joint practice with the Saints, Adams caught two TDs from Stafford, including a classic fade-ball where he ran comfortably under the throw, and they also connected on crossers and slants. Sean McVay said: "They've got a great feel… it's really fun to watch." (from the Davante Adams page).
The timing is key for Adams' value: Puka Nacua was out managing a psoas injury, so Adams absorbed all the first-team WR reps and showed he's still Stafford's go-to red-zone weapon. That's a validation that his 14-TD 2025 wasn't a fluke — Stafford trusts him on high-difficulty throws.
But keep the concerns in mind: At age 34, Adams has declining efficiency (career-low 53% catch rate and YAC in 2025), and PFF flags that no WR in the last 20 years has posted back-to-back double-digit end-zone TD seasons. If those TDs regress to ~9, his fantasy floor drops from a low-end WR1 to a WR3. Still, in the Rams' #1-ranked passing offense from a year ago, and with fragile depth behind him, the chemistry shown in practice is a bullish signal for his target share.
Bottom line: Great for a WR2/red-zone flex piece. Just don't pay WR1 prices expecting a 14-TD repeat.
