Yes, Chris Brooks is currently on the non-football injury (NFI) list. He was placed there at the start of training camp on July 27, 2026, after failing his physical before the first practice on July 29. The injury occurred outside team activities. (from the Chris Brooks page)
The good news: he can be activated at any point during camp, so it's not a season-ending situation. However, he is missing early practices and team drills, which opens the door for MarShawn Lloyd — who is having a healthy camp for the first time in years — to seize more reps. And with Josh Jacobs now on the Commissioner's Exempt List as of Aug 30, the Packers also traded for Kaleb Johnson, so Brooks may have a tougher path to relevance even when he returns.
