Background

Wes Welker is entering his second season in Washington and his first as an Offensive Assistant. Welker previously had stops as a Wide Receivers Coach with the Miami Dolphins (2022-2024) and San Francisco 49ers (2019-2021), as well as the Houston Texans (2017-2018) as an Offensive Assistant. Welker began his coaching career in Houston following a 14-year NFL career as a wide receiver, during which the five-time Pro Bowler and two-time All-Pro amassed 903 receptions for 9,924 yards and 50 receiving touchdowns. A native of Oklahoma City, Welker played wide receiver at Texas Tech University (2000-03).
