Background

Ken Norton Jr. enters his third season as the team's Linebackers Coach. Norton Jr. joined the Commanders after serving as the linebackers coach for UCLA (2022-23) and brought extensive NFL experience, including nine seasons with the Seattle Seahawks (2010-14, 2018-21) and three with the Las Vegas Raiders (2015-17), where he served as defensive coordinator. He won Super Bowl XLVIII as a Seattle coach. In 2024, Bobby Wagner and Frankie Luvu both earned Second-Team All-Pro honors under him. As a player, Norton spent six seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and seven with the San Francisco 49ers, becoming the only player in NFL history to be a member of three straight Super Bowl winning teams.
