Doug Nussmeier enters his second season as New Orleans' offensive coordinator in 2026, his 11th in the NFL coaching ranks and 12th overall as an offensive coordinator at the NFL and collegiate levels. A 25-year coaching veteran, Nussmeier was originally a fourth-round pick (116th overall) of the Saints in the 1994 NFL Draft out of Idaho and played four seasons with the club before returning in 2025 after a year as Eagles quarterbacks coach.

In his first season with the Saints, Nussmeier helped the offense improve steadily, devising a scheme with Head Coach Kellen Moore behind rookie QB Tyler Shough that finished 5-4.
