Background
The New Orleans Saints named Kellen Moore as the 19th head coach in franchise history on Feb. 11, 2025, coming off a Super Bowl LIX victory as offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles' 2024 World Championship campaign. A 14-year NFL veteran, Moore played quarterback for six seasons (2012-17) and entered coaching in 2018, serving as an offensive coordinator for six campaigns (2019-24). In his first season at the helm in New Orleans, he rallied the team from a 2-10 start to win four of the final five games, going 4-0 in December for the first time since 2011.

Moore built a scheme around rookie QB Tyler Shough that finished the year 5-4 with him as the starter (67.6% completions, 2,384 yards, ten TDs, 91.3 rating, PFWA All-Rookie).
