Background
Clemmons enters his third season with the 49ers, and first as tight ends coach, after spending the previous two seasons (2024-25) as the team's assistant offensive line coach. He joined the 49ers from the Las Vegas Raiders, where he spent four seasons (2020-23) as assistant offensive line coach (2021-23) and offensive quality control (2020).
Clemmons began his NFL coaching career in 2017 with the New England Patriots as a Bill Walsh NFL Diversity Coaching Fellow. Before coaching in the NFL, Clemmons had multiple stops at the collegiate level, serving as an offensive quality control analyst (2019) and graduate assistant (2016-18) at the University of Tennessee, and an offensive intern (2015) at Eastern Kentucky University.
