BAL Tyler Loop
NFL player. Position: K (Kicker). Team: BAL.
Quick Facts
- Position: K (Kicker)
- Team: BAL (Baltimore Ravens)
- Draft: 2025 NFL Draft, Round 6
2026 Outlook
Second-year kicker for the Ravens who had a solid 2025 season (30-for-34, 88.2% accuracy) despite a season-ending miss in a crucial playoff moment. Ravens re-upped with Loop, viewing his rookie campaign favorably despite the final kick that will draw continued scrutiny. New Ravens HC Jesse Minter (formerly Chargers DC) is emphasizing a "process-driven position" mindset to help Loop move past the mental toll of the season-ending miss. Loop demonstrated mental resilience at 2026 minicamp, making clutch kicks in front of teammates.
However, Loop faces competition from veteran free-agent kicker Jake Moody, signed to the Ravens' practice squad before Week 1 after Loop missed three field goals across two preseason games. Head Coach Minter affirmed his support for Loop as the starting kicker entering the regular season, noting that "if you bring a guy in at their position, normally it brings out the best when you've got the right type of guy." Loop responded positively to the competition: "I think it makes everyone better. Love competition. It's a good thing." (per Ravens Kicker Tyler Loop Embraces Competition From Jake Moody).
