Quick Facts

  • Position: LB (Linebacker)
  • Team: NYJ (New York Jets)

2026 Outlook

Recovered from shoulder surgery that ended his 2025 season. Cleared to play in preseason, appeared in Hall of Fame Game on August 7 recording 3 tackles. Panthers surprisingly cut him before final roster cuts, with SI calling his release "an absolute shocker" after two years. The Jets claimed Wallace off waivers on Sept. 1, providing linebacker depth after Mykal Walker's season-ending IR placement. Wallace provides young developmental depth and is a candidate for future IDP starts with the Jets if called upon (per New York Jets Practice Squad and Waiver Wire Tracker 2026: Live updates and analysis).

Role / Depth Chart

Young developmental linebacker depth for the New York Jets. Depth option behind starters Demario Davis and Jamien Sherwood, with potential to start if injury strikes.

Injury Status

Recovering from shoulder injury (2025). Cleared for preseason action and played in Hall of Fame Game.
