2026 Outlook
Perfect in preseason: drilled a 61-yard FG against the Patriots and went 2-for-2 (48, 53 yards) against the Falcons. Prior to tearing his ACL in Week 5 last season, Shrader was 13 of 14 on FG attempts. Started training camp slow (69% early on, left-pushing kicks) but steadily improved; by mid-camp closing with strong performances in joint practice vs. Falcons. Through all of training camp and preseason, hitting at 81% while Grupe sits at 86%, but Shrader's in-game performance (4-for-4 preseason) is superior to Grupe's (0-for-2), and in-game kicks carry the most weight per special teams coordinator Brian Mason.
