2026 Outlook

Wilson earned playing time as a rookie in 2025 due to his blocking prowess, helping Saquon Barkley's run game while managing only 5 catches for 38 yards. A knee and ankle injury in late August 2024 limited offseason development. The Eagles are considering converting Wilson from receiver to tight end under new tight end coach Ryan Mahaffey, leveraging his 6'6" frame and elite blocking ability—the position-less approach matches his skillset better than traditional receiver role.
