Background
Joins head coach Aaron Glenn's Jets staff as defensive coordinator for 2026, having worked with Glenn on the Detroit Lions' defensive staff.
Scheme and Tendencies
Man-coverage-heavy defense. 30.8% man coverage rate (3rd in league) and 66.3% zone coverage (30th — well below average). Projects 87% two-linebacker usage (11th), putting mid-range snap share pressure on LB2 targets. Man-heavy scheme reduces linebacker tackling efficiency compared to zone-focused defenses. (per 2026 Projected IDP Depth Charts)
