Fakes enters his ninth season with Indianapolis and his eighth as the club's strength and conditioning assistant. He served as the team's strength and conditioning intern during the 2018 season.

During the 2024 offseason, Fakes assisted with implementing a new sports performance program that focuses on collaboration with strength & conditioning, sports science, nutrition, sports medicine, coaching, analytics and personnel to enhance athletic performance by delivering world-class assessment, position-specific training and athlete management.
