Background

The Falcons hired Troy Kruchten as defensive quality control coach on March 8, 2026. He came to Atlanta from Georgia State, where he was set to coach nickels and special teams in 2026 after serving as outside linebackers coach in 2025. Kruchten was previously a graduate assistant at the University of Florida, assisting with the edge and linebacker positions. A native of The Woodlands, Texas, he played linebacker at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, helping the Ragin' Cajuns to Sun Belt titles in 2020 and 2021.
