Mike Smith joins the Patriots in 2025 as outside linebackers coach after two seasons as outside linebackers/pass rush specialist with the Minnesota Vikings (2022-23), where LB Danielle Hunter recorded a career-high 16.5 sacks. He has additional NFL experience with the Green Bay Packers, Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets, coaching multiple Pro Bowl pass rushers including the Packers' Smith-Smith duo and the Chiefs' Dee Ford. He played linebacker at Texas Tech and was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 2005.
