Background
Webb joined the Broncos staff as quarterbacks coach in 2023 after a six-year playing stint in the NFL with the Giants (2017, '22), Jets (2018) and Bills (2019-21). He has previously served as offensive pass game coordinator/quarterbacks coach (2025) and quarterbacks coach (2023-24) on Denver's staff.
Scheme & Fantasy Angle
Webb took over offensive play-calling duties in 2026 after Payton delegated the responsibility to elevate Webb's head-coaching candidacy. However, after four weeks of disappointing offensive performance (18.5 PPG, 27th-ranked, featuring ultra-conservative QB Bo Nix), Payton reassumed play-calling duties in Week 5. Webb will remain heavily involved in game planning and down-field execution, but lost the primary playcalling authority. The offensive coordinator role under Payton's system drives the fantasy value of Denver's skill-position players, though the lack of play-calling authority reduces Webb's direct impact on in-game aggression and scheme execution versus Payton's more aggressive vertical passing approach.
