Von Miller has been actively lobbying Sean Payton for a reunion — publicly and privately. Here's the gist of where it stands:
Miller's pitch: He's repeatedly said he wants to be a "vice president" to Bo Nix and Courtland Sutton and "bring back the Super Bowl 50 vibes." In late May he told reporters: "I lobbied, I do lobby, I lobbied publicly, privately... I think there's no question the type of environment I bring to a locker room." (from the Von Miller page)
On the field: He's still productive — 9 sacks with Washington in 2025, his highest since 2021, and played all 17 games for the first time since 2018. If he signs, it'd be as a rotational pass rusher alongside Nik Bonitto, not a starter.
Competition: Nothing's done yet. The Bills are also in the mix — safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson publicly urged Buffalo to bring him back, and Miller was with Buffalo in 2022.
So Von wants it, and Payton's listening — but no deal is finalized, and the Bills could swoop in.
