# Patrick Mekari

NFL offensive tackle. Position: **OT (Swing)**. Team: **Jacksonville Jaguars**.

## Quick Facts

- **Position:** Offensive Tackle (Left/Right)
- **Team:** Jacksonville Jaguars
- **Career:** 2,000+ snaps at tackle positions since 2019 debut
- **Status:** Recovering from back injury, out since training camp

## 2026 Outlook

Mekari signed as Jacksonville's highest-paid free agent of the new 2025 regime in March 2025, but has been a disappointment with the Jaguars. He missed all of training camp and the first six games of the 2026 season due to a back injury. Head coach Liam Coen said he was getting closer to returning from injured reserve by Week 6. With Anton Harrison now sidelined for the season with a torn ACL, Mekari's position value has shifted considerably. If healthy, he could serve as experienced depth at swing tackle, particularly now that Walker Little has assumed the starting left tackle role. Mekari's nearly 2,000 career snaps at tackle positions give him significantly more experience at the position than other Jaguars in-house options, making his return to health a meaningful factor in the offensive line's depth chart.
