# Isaiah Davis

NFL player. Position: **RB**. Team: **NYJ**.

## Quick Facts

- **Position:** RB
- **Team:** NYJ (New York Jets)
- **Age:** 24

## 2026 Outlook

**Week 5 receiving threat underutilized despite Hall injury (Oct 9):** The Jet Press argues Isaiah Davis deserves a bigger role in the Jets' offense while Breece Hall recovers from his quad injury. Davis, who has been barely used this season (only 2 snaps through Week 4 despite being on the active roster), offers a change-of-pace option that contrasts with Braelon Allen's power-running style. Davis is a superior pass catcher with 30 career catches for 261 yards and brings soft hands and solid blocking ability. His historical efficiency is strong — 5.6 yards per carry across his Jets career — and adding him to the offense alongside Allen would give the Jets more variety and fresher legs. (per Jets need to find a way to get Isaiah Davis on the field vs. Browns).

**Earlier assessment (Oct 1):** Backup running back for the Jets with limited offensive usage through the first month. Davis missed most of training camp due to a knee injury and had taken only 2 offensive snaps in the season's first four weeks. With Breece Hall ruled out for Week 4 due to a quad injury, Davis stepped up to a change-of-pace role behind lead back Braelon Allen. Head coach Aaron Glenn expected increased involvement, noting Davis "will just have a larger role when it comes to the offense," but with Allen handling most early-down and goal-line carries, Davis gets only the remaining touches.
