Michael Pitre was hired as the Atlanta Falcons running backs coach on Jan. 31, 2022. In 2024 Atlanta posted a top-10 rushing attack for the third straight season, and Bijan Robinson had a breakout year with a career-high 304 carries for 1,456 yards and 14 rushing touchdowns plus 61 receptions. In 2023 Robinson set the franchise rookie record for yards from scrimmage (1,463). Pitre arrived from the Chicago Bears, where he coached running backs in 2021, and previously spent three years at Oregon State (2018-20) and four at Montana State (2014-17). He played fullback at UCLA from 2003-07 and was a team captain in 2006.
