# What is the fantasy impact of the Eagles trading Cam Jurgens?

This trade has pretty significant fantasy ripple effects for **both** teams. Here's the breakdown:

---

### 🦅 For the Eagles — Negative impact

The Eagles **lost two starting offensive linemen on the same day** — Jurgens was traded and RT Lane Johnson retired. That's a brutal double blow for the line, which had already been shuffling.

- **Jalen Hurts** takes a hit — he loses both his right guard and right tackle. The pass protection and run lanes get shakier overnight.
- **Saquon Barkley / the RB** faces a tougher run-blocking environment, especially on the right side.
- **The silver lining:** Jurgens was playing *left guard* (not his natural position) and struggling. As Josh & Hayden from Underdog put it, "Jurgens...was playing horribly" at guard. The Eagles are turning to **Drew Kendall** at center and will sort out RT between Fred Johnson and Kendall — a downgrade, but Jurgens wasn't playing well where he was. *(from the [Philadelphia Eagles page](https://youtube.com/watch?v=2PsHiLDVk0o&t=2962s))*

### 🐦 For the Ravens — Positive impact

The Ravens had a **catastrophic injury crisis at center** (three centers on IR), forcing a guard to play out of position. Jurgens is a **two-time Pro Bowl center** going back to his natural spot.

- **Lamar Jackson** gets a massive upgrade in pass protection, especially critical after he tweaked his ankle in Week 4 *(from the [Cam Jurgens page]).
- **Derrick Henry** benefits from better interior run blocking — Jurgens is a mauler at center.
- The Ravens' offense as a whole stabilizes: better protection → more time for plays to develop → upside for **Zay Flowers** and **Mark Andrews** too.

### Bottom line

| Team | O-line Impact | Fantasy Winners | Fantasy Losers |
|------|--------------|----------------|----------------|
| **Eagles** | ⬇️ Weakened (lost Jurgens
